Artwork by Jen
Biography

Jen was born on May 14th 1979 in Ventura, California.  Her childhood was filled with creative inspiration that was made possible by her parents' constant nurturing and love.  Jen's mother sparked her interest in the arts at a young age by supplying her with a wide variety of art media and by taking her to local arts fairs and concerts.  Her mother exposed her to Lisa Frank and Lite Brite and sketchbooks, because she said that coloring books inhibited creativity.

On Sundays they attended mass at Sacred Heart Church in Ventura and Jen was very inspired by the artwork there.  The stained glass windows and beaming light creation that radiated out from behind the altar were nothing short of mesmerizing to her, see photo on right.  It was during this time that she began to deeply contemplate line, shape, color and the depths of her visual imagination.

The artwork inside that church has influenced Jen's artistic creations more than any other works of art.  Her paintings have also been influenced by Post-Impressionist, Surrealist and Visionary style art.  They have been inspired by her love for people, nature and music.

Jen's more recent works focus on light and color and are intended to send healing energy to all who view them.  She wants her creations to help us see where we came from, who we are, and what we will become.  It is Jen's belief that there will come a time when we shed our earthly shells and find our souls bathing in divine light.  This is the light she wants to paint.
